WELCOME

The Alberta Workers Association for Research and Education (AWARE) strives to provide a research and educational space where workers support workers across industries, identities, and immigration status.

What we do

AWARE aims to empower workers through research, education, and community building.

We focus primarily on supporting workers with precarious immigration status as they are most vulnerable to exploitation and abuse. â€‹

Project Highlight

Edmonton Resource Toolkit

A compilation of resources for precarious workers and the organizations that provide support. Recognizing that undocumented workers, or others with precarious immigration status, often face barriers in accessing services and support, the toolkit includes contact information for service providers, highlighting those services that do not require immigration documents to access. The toolkit also includes additional information, research, and analysis aimed at empowering workers.

Volunteer with AWARE!

AWARE relies on volunteers, and we would welcome your contributions.
